Millennium Trek 6D
Overview
The Millennium Trek, sometimes called the Mid-hill Ridgeline Trek, is a recently discovered homestay trail that climbs to 1,709 meters from 420 meters in western Nepal. This walk, southeast of Pokhara, provides stunning views of the mountains and an opportunity to see a way of life that dates back hundreds of years. There are historical buildings, woodlands, old rice terraces, and places to go bird viewing in this varied terrain. It is suitable for the majority of age groups without altitude problems and is easily accessible. Savor home-cooked meals, authentic Nepali village life, and basic homestay lodging.

Tour Plan
Day 01. Drive from Pokhara (822 m) to Dobilla (700 m) & Trek to Pyuridovan (680 m): 5-6 hrs.
Drive half an hour to Dobilla (700 m) by car/van from your hotel in Pokhara and start hiking to Dandagaun Bharatpokhari (1,600 m). While driving from your hotel you will have beautiful sceneries of farm lands, Seti gorge, small towns and the beautiful mountain view behind us. The trail from Dobilla starts ascending through forest and the graveled road until Dandagaun from where you will see the beautiful sceneries of snowcapped mountains of Annapurna ranges and the beautiful Pokhara valley. It is about 2-3 hour’s hiking.
We’ll stop for lunch in Dandagaun and then gradually descend about 2 hours to Pyuridovan. Pyuridovan is considered as a holy place because three different sacred rivers get along there. In the evening, we’ll go for a Shaman show and do the evening prayers. We’ll try to dive into our past and take a leap towards the future as per his insights. Overnight in a homestay.

Day 02. Trek from Pyuridovan to Gharedi (980 m): (5-6 Hrs.)
We start the day with a local breakfast and continue climbing up the steep mountains crossing the small village. While trekking, we explore many cultural aspects of major Ethnic groups of Nepal. First, we’ll come across the Gurung village of Lamagaon and then, we’ll head down towards the village of Gharedi, which is comparatively one of the largest villages of this trekking region. Overnight at a homestay in Gharedi.

Day 03. Trek from Gharedi to Kolmakot (1,440 m): (5-6 Hrs.)
Today we will have an opportunity to see the Millennium cave which is supposed the best cave in South East Asia. The cave provides water fountain inside the cave, habitat of bats, beautiful lime stone in various shapes, and enough space to move around.
After visiting Millennium cave, we will cross the river and gradually ascend one and half an hour to Kalkhu where you will have the lunch prepared in a home stay. Continue ascending another 2 hour to Kolmakot via Pokharichhap. Pokharichhap is a hilltop settlement of Gurung community. The attraction around Pokharichhap/Kolma includes the Kolmakot Temple, sunrise from the top, panoramic views of the Himalayas, bird watching, and tea and coffee garden around the settlement. Overnight in a homestay in Kolmakot.

Day 04. Trek from Kolmakot to Pyarsingh (1,200 m): (5-6 Hrs.)
Early in the morning, ascend to Kolmakot (a top) from where we can have views in 360 degree around, including sunrise, beautiful mountains, green forest, rivers, villages and the Pokhara valley. After the views from the top, we will have breakfast in our homestay then walk slowly down to a beautiful village – Saldanda Hatiya (1,100 m) via Pokharichhap. Continue walking to Kharikot village (1,400 m) where we will have our lunch then walk again towards a beautiful village called Pyarsing. Pyarsingh provides very basic accommodation but very good Nepali food (Dalbhat) with some glimpses of Newari cultural dance in the evening. Overnight at homestay in Pyarsing.

Day 05. Trek from Pyarsingh to Rangrung (1,200 m): (5-6 Hrs.)
After a couple of hours of walk from Pyarsing we reach to Dhungethanti (1,435 m) and then descends slowly to Rangrung village passing many small villages on the way and the beautiful sceneries and we’ll observe the village of Thulo Hattiya. We’ll spend a night in the center of Newari village in the Rangrung Resort. From Rangrung, we will have beautiful views of mountains, landscapes, villages and we can enjoy internet, hot shower, food and drinks in the resort.

Day 06. Trek from Rangrung t0 Setidovan (750 m): (2 Hrs.) & Drive to Pokhara (822 m): (1.5 Hrs.)
With relax morning; we will have breakfast in the resort. Today is the end day of our trek and short walking day too. The trek after the breakfast leads throughout descending to Seti Dovan (Bhagar). Then we cross Long suspension bridge that called London Bridge and drive one and half an hour to Pokhara by car/van.
