Moharedanda Trek 5D
Overview
For those looking for an off-the-beaten-path trip through charming villages and breathtaking terrain, the Mohare Danda trek is ideal. This recently found path, which begins at Galeshwor on the Kali Gandaki River and heads southwest of the Annapurna Conservation Area, is perfect for short-term tourists. Trekking through rhododendron woods, alpine plains, and secluded settlements, one may witness spectacular sunrises and sunsets over the mountains, as well as vistas of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Fishtail Mountain.

Tour Plan
Day 01. Drive from Pokhara (822 m) to Galeshwor (1,170 m) & Trek to Banskharka (1525m): (6-7 Hrs.)
In order to get to the trailhead, drive almost 4 hours to Galeshwor along the bank of Kali Gandaki river. After the lunch at Galeshor, we will walk through little farming communities and climb up 3 hours almost only on stairs. We’ll make our way past a couple small villages until we reach Baskharka. Overnight in a home stay lodge.

Day 02. Trek from Banskharka to Nangi (2,300 m): (5-6 Hrs.)
Day starts with hot breakfast and extends our trek to Nangi. The trail from Bans Kharka goes 3 hour climb up steps passing through beautiful villages, stunning views of mountains and impressive landscapes. After lunch, the hike becomes much easier as the trail leveled off and we walk across a few rice fields and through local communities. Overnight in a home stay lodges.

Day 03. Trek from Nangi to Moharedanda (3,330 m): (5-6 Hrs.)
The trail from Nangi is mostly uphill, with intervals of flat trail in between the climbs. We will pass an evergreen forest and the tree line with epic views of the valleys below. We have to carry needed water with us as there is no villages in this trekking section. After lunch, we will continue another 2 hours on a flat trail (up and down, up and down), until we reached the top at Moharedanda at 3,300 meters, this is the highest point of the trek. On a clear day we can see the peaks of Dhaulagiri (8167 m), Nilgiri (7,061 m), Annapurna 1 (8,091 m), Annapurna South (7,219 m), and Fishtail Mountain (6,997 m) which is sacred and no one is allowed to summit.

Day 04. Trek from Moharedanda to Tikot Village (2,219 m): (5-6 Hrs.)
With an early wake up, we will have amazing sunrise view over the beautiful snowcapped mountains from Moharedanda. Having breakfast, we will walk down hill through a rhododendron forest and over streams. On the trail we can see the Poon Hill Lookout structure which looks like it is just the next set of hills over. Tikot is one of the most beautiful Magar villages in Nepal. We will spend overnight at homestay. Homestay allows us to interact with the local people. Interacting with them we get to know more about their lifestyle and culture.

Day 05. Trek from Tikot Village to Tiplyang (1,040m): (3 Hrs.) & Drive to Pokhara (822 m): (5 Hrs.)
The trail from Tikot further descends to Tiplyang village. Tiplyang is the beautiful village situated to the southwest of Annapurna massif and the bank of Kaligandaki river. Upon arrival at Tiplyang, we will take a drive to Pokhara, which takes about 5 hours.
